Method

Much of Tony's work grows out of a fascination with ancient artworks and artifacts. For example, his many monoliths - Glass Stones - are inspired by the Standing Stones of Britain, which have stood alongside and among generations of community life, accumulating stories and histories. His methods are, wherever possible, antique also, staining glass using traditional methods and using glass reclaimed from previous uses and demolished buildings.

Most work is fused in custom-made kilns in his workshop by his home in a former pit-village in Lancashire, where visitors can see his work and his methods for themselves.
